what will your legacy be?

It’s amazing what you find out when researching information. Today I found out that Citizens Advice Bureaux, Charities Aid Foundation, and Age UK all owe their existence to one man. That man died on his 32nd birthday at the Somme in 1916. His name was Edward Vivian Birchall, and he left a legacy of £1,000 in his will which started the organization which is now known as NCVO. All three of CAB, CAF, and Age Concern (the forerunner of Age UK) developed out of projects of NCVO.
