It is energizing to think of the blessing which is possible in our communities if people of good will and faith work together creatively. – Bishop Harold Miller, Bishop of Down & Dromore I trust that the Lord Bishop of Down & Dromore will remember his own words when introducing the rather unfortunate motions before the General Synod of the Church of Ireland later today. It would be great to believe that Bishop Miller will look forward to working creatively with the LGBT community not just in his diocese but across Ireland. Help us all by telling PSNI about those who plant hoax devices

Thankfully the evacuation of Omagh Police Station last night was due to a hoax device. Sadly, even hoax devices can be used to create terror in the lives of our police and of our communities across Northern Ireland. I call on anyone with any information about those who plant hoax devices and real devices to contact the PSNI about this. It is essential that those responsible are brought before the courts for justice. The PSNI can be contacted on 0845 600 8000 for non-emergency reporting. In an emergency do phone 999. I looked in various shops, and I saw cards that cost 50p and cards that cost £5. I saw cards with romantic designs, and cards with cartoons. I… Continue reading

LGBT Churchpeople still not being listened to: #8aNoWay @churchofireland

The final paragraph of Resolution 8A at the General Synod in Dublin this week is the most nasty of all. For it is the one that will legitimise witch-hunts against gay clergy; it is the one that will allow gay people to be excluded from Holy Communion; and it demeans the relationships of remarried divorcees.
