LGBT Church of Ireland people have both good will and faith @downandromore @churchofireland #8aNoWay

It is energizing to think of the blessing which is possible in our communities if people of good will and faith work together creatively. – Bishop Harold Miller, Bishop of Down & Dromore I trust that the Lord Bishop of Down & Dromore will remember his own words when introducing the rather unfortunate motions before the General Synod of the Church of Ireland later today. It would be great to believe that Bishop Miller will look forward to working creatively with the LGBT community not just in his diocese but across Ireland. From Down & Dromore there were six members … Continue reading LGBT Church of Ireland people have both good will and faith @downandromore @churchofireland #8aNoWay

LGBT Churchpeople still not being listened to: #8aNoWay @churchofireland

The final paragraph of Resolution 8A at the General Synod in Dublin this week is the most nasty of all. However, his orders or rather lack therof, notwithstanding, Mr Reade makes a very good point about the lack of knowledge surrounding the real message of Easter, following on from the campaign for the real message of Christmass. We give you what the ‘Christian’ Institute says … Continue reading un œuf est un œuf

The words of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI to the young people outside The Cathedral of the Most Precious Blood, Westminster, today. Thank you for your warm welcome! “Heart speaks unto heart” – cor ad cor loquitur – as you know, I chose these words so dear to Cardinal Newman as the theme of my visit. In these few moments that we are together, I wish to speak to you from my own heart, and I ask you to open your hearts to what I have to say. I ask each of you, first and foremost, to look into your … Continue reading We were made to receive love… also to give love. – Pope Benedict XVI
