Yesterday I was up at Stormont for the Unite against Hate awards ceremony hosted by MLAs Basil McCrea, Conall McDevitt, and Chris Lyttle in the Long Gallery, Parliament Buildings. There were many awards to various different organisations who have supported the Unite against Hate campaign in diverse ways, including The Rainbow Project and Outburst. the big society needs to start at a local level

There is much talk about fuel poverty in Northern Ireland, one of the ways that many people try to provide some heat for their homes is by using a free-standing heater. It may be a gas, an electric, or even an electrically powered oil heater.   Whichever it is, it is vital that anyone using these heaters uses them sensibly and responsibly.
