After seeing and sharing a post about the NUS President closing registrations for a Black students’ event in London, I looked further at what Student Broad Left are about. Good to see that the all-Ireland political entity known as Sinn Féin is using joined up campaigning. On one side of the border that they now recognise (cf Belfast Agreement) people are being encouraged to join with Gerry Adams and protest the cuts – see poster… Whilst in Northern Ireland, Sinn Féin is saying that they want to make savings cuts worth £1billion and make £800 million in revenue. Frontier crossing points – approved or unapproved?

Yesterday saw me crossing the international frontier on my way to Castle Leslie, Glaslough, County Monaghan. The most direct rout according to my Road Atlas and also according to Googlemaps was take the M1 motorway to Dungannon, turn left for Caledon, in Caledon, turn right, take the first left, cross the frontier and drive to Glaslough.
