joining the students saying Yes! to Fairer Votes

Yesterday I was at Queen’s University Belfast Student Union’s Refreshers Bazaar where many students signed up to the campaign to change the voting system in May’s referendum. It was heartening to see so many young people think that politics was important to them.

Many were surprised when we explained that MPs didn’t need over 50% of the vote cast to get in. They said that this was not fair. They were right.
