6 months and finally unpacking…

It’s about ten days before our friend Peter will be over to stay for the weekend of the Belfast Pride Parade. I’ve stayed with him many times on my jaunts to Bedford in the past year so it will be good to return the hospitality. Fancy a night out in Bedford’s Civic Theatre? Not for much longer according to Mayor Hodgson!

It will be difficult to nurture creativity when the valuable creative space of Bedford’s Civic Theatre has been lost to the people of Bedford by the actions of Lib Dem Mayor Dave Hodgson. How many people – not just theatre groups, but dancers, musicians, and others – will miss this important council resource when it is changed to create something that could (and in my opinion should) be located in Borough Hall? it’s not just Ballymena that brings Christmas early…

My apologies to my readers that there has not been much from my desk in recent days, I’ve been on holiday in between a committee meeting of FLAGS and a ringing tour with FODS.
