Making Scouting visible… World Scout Scarf Day 2012

When you see me out and about on Wednesday, I’ll be wearing at least one of my Scout neckers. It’ll probably be my FLAGS unit necker in the rainbow colours in honour of Belfast Pride Festival which is currently in full swing. But why will I be doing this? It’s Friday night so….

It’s Friday afternoon and think that there should be some fun. So, Think you know about Scouting? Think again. I’m involved with Scouting in a number of roles, all of them as a volunteer. And having gained much as a Scout – even gaining my Queen’s Scout Award back in December 1997 – it feels like I am giving something back to the movement.
