And so a new chapter has opened in the history of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Last night, Her Majesty The Queen invited The Right Honourable David Cameron MP, Leader of the Conservative Party to form a government following the resignation of The Right Honourable Gordon Brown MP as Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury.
At the time it was not know whether Mr Cameron would form a minority government or a coalition with the Liberal Democrats. Of course, since then we have learnt that it is the first coalition government at Westminster for seventy years.
